A German and English-speaking project assistant is needed for an on-site UX research study in Ingolstadt, Germany from Aug 20-21.

About the Job

Loop UX is a fast-growing UX research agency conducting international user research. Next up, we are heading to Ingolstadt, Germany to evaluate customer in-store experiences on behalf of a retail client. We will be conducting two days of in-person, in-store fieldwork involving accompanied shopping visits and customer intercept interviews. We are looking for a Local Project Assistant to join our field team (alongside a Loop UX Research Lead and a local Researcher) to facilitate on-site logistics and interview execution. 

Key responsibilities include:

• On-Site Recruitment: Facilitating logistics for on-the-spot recruitment of real store visitors at the venue.  
• Session Recording: Assisting with the technical setup and recording of the 60-minute accompanied shopping interviews using a smartphone/iPhone on a gimbal (if participants consent).  
• Light Note taking: Light note taking during intercepts & staff interviews when relevant
• Logistical Translation: Helping the Research Lead with ad-hoc, on-the-spot translation if general logistical issues or questions about recording arise. (Note: You won't need to provide formal interpretation, as a dedicated local researcher will conduct the actual interviews).

About you

The local assistant must be an outgoing, native German speaker based near Ingolstadt, Germany (Munich-based is fine) fluent in English and not afraid of new challenges. A right can-do attitude and personality is more important than your qualifications.

We are looking for people who are extroverted and it is a plus if you have experience from the service sector and/or with sales and are used to talking to different kinds of people.

On-site at the store venue in Ingolstadt, Germany Aug 20-21st (Note: there is a budget for transportation and accommodation if traveling from nearby, eg. Munich)

Working Hours

Approx. 29 hours total allocated for this project.
